Our rebuilt Takahashi's extend the lifespan and usability of these amazing mounts. Normally, the lubricants would expire in 7-10 years, and being effectively a sealed mount, they are not deemed repairable, or optimised.

Our experience with these mounts restore their unguided and guided performace, which is sub-arcsecond in many cases. 

Do not leave the mount until it becomes unusable. Get it rebuilt by us before its tenth birthday, preferably before its seventh year...

Takahashi EM 200 Temma-2 Tuning Notes:

Internally, this is very much like StellarDrive 6 (EQ6) but with servo motors and transfer gear, and a premium engineered build. The internal polarscope is best not removed, as it will need careful collimation in the mount to work precisely. The mount has to be split, as the mount is sealed, and unlike the EQ6 does not have grubscrews for adjusting backlash. Once the greases let go, the mount tracks very poorly.

Our work concentrates on resorting the fluidity to this beautifully engineered mount, as well as replacement worm gear bearings, and reprocessing the worm-gears.

All our rebuilds are warrantied for two years worldwide.
